Zoe McDougall’s Stained Glass

We are excited to present the wonderful art of Zoe McDougall, created at her Vim Island home in McGregor Bay. Surrounded by Mother Nature’s varied and ever-changing inspiration, she creates unique pieces of stained glass with diverse themes. Combining the beauty of natural elements with stained glass, Zoe’s flair for design and execution is evident in her three dimensional pieces.

“Earth Art Assembly” on Vim Island

We were fortunate to accompany a small group of fellow artists, all members of EAA (Earth Art Assembly) on a five day sojourn on Vim Island. to recharge our creative energies in an idyllic, unspoiled, beautiful, natural, rugged setting. McGregor Bay in the Northern Channel of Lake Huron is dotted with Islands that provide sanctuary for numerous species of waterfowl, loons, ducks, cormorants, gulls, Canada geese and the great blue heron. Birds of prey, such as hawks, golden eagles and even bald eagles can be seen soaring for hours on the wind currents.
The constantly changing atmospheric colours of the distinctive rocky formations, windblown trees and wild flowers, against a backdrop of spectacular sunsets have a spiritual dimension that challenge the palettes of the most creative artists.

We will celebrate Canada Day with an Art display at Kelso Beach. This annual celebration is a wonderful day out for all the family, with lots of exciting activities for children and adults. The Art Show will present quality Arts and Crafts by local artists.

Topic - Analytical Drawing Exercises. Freehand drawing studies to explore and analyse the shape, form, proportion and geometry of natural forms and man-made objects, using various drawing tools.

Art in the Garden
Kepplecroft Farm and Gardens

featuring the creations of more than 45 Artists

Bill and Dawn Loney have been gardening at Kepplecroft since 1986, when they returned from their work in the Arctic. They have developed an exotic garden with a worldwide reputation.
The extensive stroll gardens are ever expanding and are definitely a work in progress. There are several rockeries, xeriscape gardens, pebble borders, ponds, a Zen garden, a shade garden, a thyme and lavender garden, trough gardens with alpines, and a selection of unusual trees and shrubs, all linked by a maze of paths. There are also a number of art installations created by the Artist in Residence, Bill.
A group of Master gardeners will be present to answer your garden and plant related questions.
